Flock Together 12" x 15.5"
This piece represents that old saying, "birds of a feather flock together." But these birds clearly don't have the same feathers.
I think the meaning of that old saying has nothing to do with physical appearance and everything to do with energy or vibration.
Flock with those who uplift you and support your dreams. Flock with those who have dreams and goals of their own. Flock with those who have seen all of you and accept all of you, those who you can be free with and don't have to put up socially acceptable, fake walls to cage in parts of your personality.
It's exhausting and draining when you don't flock with those who get you and love you. I think about this a lot. How draining some people can be or how inspiring other people can be. You have to put yourself in the right places with the right people. Keep searching until you find your odd flock, and it will be beautiful!
This piece was created with high quality soft pastels and is 16” x 20” on pastelmat paper.
